POLYCARBONATE

Polycarbonate is a durable material and has a high impact strength which makes it almost 250 times stronger than glass of the same float thickness and 30 to 40 times stronger than acrylic. Polycarbonate sheets are extruded from UV stabilized polycarbonate resin which makes it suitable to South Africa’s harsh weather conditions. It is highly transparent and serves as a suitable alternative to security glass. Its impact strength makes it virtually unbreakable when used for glazing and protective shields. It is a very versatile material and can be used for a wide range of applications from household appliances to architectural and aircraft fittings. It can be vacuum formed, heat bent as well as cold bent.
